We are a family run double glazing company installing a market-leading selection of UPVC windows, doors, conservatories and roofline. Our double glazing services are available in Hale, Altrincham, Sale, Chorlton, Stretford and Didsbury.

Early Years

I began working at The Window Company from straight after leaving school in 2000.

When I started I worked with my Uncle Chris as an apprentice joiner installing windows, doors and conservatories. I soon moved my way through the ranks to become senior surveyor and installations manager.

In 2005, Glen had other projects that he wished to pursue. He wanted someone from within the company to take over. Someone who could keep the traditions and motto he had put in place all those years before.

This is when I took over as owner of The Window Company.

From Sale to Stretford

2017 marked a new chapter in our history as we officially opened our new 5000sq foot purpose-built Showroom and TradePlas trade counter.

We moved from 66 Green Lane Sale to larger premises at 1221 Chester Road, Stretford, Manchester M32 8NB.

Our new premises means we can cater for all of our customer’s needs when it comes to choosing the right doors or windows. This is because all the products we sell are now on show. We have also massively expanded our trade offering with our sister company TradePlas, we now have more than 5 times the space compared to our previous warehouse.

PJH Architectural Services provide professional architectural services and plans drawn for home extensions and new build properties.

We are a team of qualified and experienced Architectural Technologists, we cover all aspects of design, from initial sketch/concept design through to detailed planning and building regulation drawings, tender packages for contractor pricing purposes, as well as tender submission and analysis on behalf of clients, combined with builder recommendations and full on site supervision.

We work extensively within South Manchester and have a very close working relationship with Trafford Council. We are one of a small selection of their accredited designers, which ensures that our planning applications take precedence once submitted and are dealt with within their allotted timescales.
